Wedding Day at Troldhaugen depicts Grieg's home near Bergen, Norway and literally means "Troll hill".  Picture if you will the festive celebration of an outdoor Norwegian wedding with folk dancing accompanied by fiddles, bright costumes, and all the color and gaiety that abounds on such a happy occasion. The mid-section is a love song of the tenderest quality, followed again by the exuberant dancing of the first section and a whirl-wind coda. Greig certainly painted this picture beautifully at the piano keyboard.  You will enjoy the same picture transcribed for handbells.
