Betty Garee arranged 5 movements: Prelude, Minuetto, Carillon, Menuet, and Farandole. Prelude is for bells alone; Minuetto has a lovely clarinet part with rolling arpeggios. Carillon uses orchestral chimes which give charm to the 3/4 meter and compliments the tempo Allegro at M.M. 138. Menuet is a gentle and lilting movement only for flute players who can master pianissimo at a 4 ledger line G. Clarinet and alto sax compliment the flute in this movement. Farandole uses tambourine and orchestra cymbals and is quite exhilarating all the way to the end! A crowd pleaser and a must play for professional ensembles.
